Reds at Rydal Hall
We’ve just been sent a YouTube video>> of a red squirrel on a bird table taken by one of the staff at Rydal Hall. This is very special to us, because back in 2011 there were no reds at all being seen in Rydal. Now there are 2 or 3 reds settled in the woodland close to the Hall. Our thanks for the video and to everyone who has worked to make it possible.

Red squirrels in Windermere – please drive carefully!
Early this morning a red squirrel was seen opposite St Mary’s Church in Windermere – it was running about in the road and was nearly run over. This is the fourth red squirrel seen in Windermere over the last couple of months, plus someone glimpsed one at Spooner Vale, but couldn’t be 100% sure it was a red squirrel – it’s now looking most likely that it was. Please let us have the details if you see a red in Windermere or anywhere else.
