Who We Work With

We work closely with landowners and with the Red Squirrels Northern England (RSNE) project. We also co-operate with other red squirrel groups and with conservation organisations such as the National Trust, Cumbria Wildlife Trust, the Forestry Commission, the Lake District National Park Authority, the Woodland Trust and the Red Squirrel Survival Trust. We are a member of Northern Red Squirrels, the umbrella body for all volunteer groups across Cumbria, the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland.

RSNE is a partnership project working to conserve red squirrels in Northern England. Launched by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2011, the project combines and builds on the efforts of previous and current initiatives to protect red squirrels through targeted and strategic action. RSNE is steered by four main partners: the Forestry Commission, the Red Squirrel Survival Trust (RSST), the Wildlife Trusts and Natural England.
